Julia Conti | Carnegie Mellon University
Julia Conti is pursing a B.A. in Professional Writing from Carnegie Mellon University. Rita Harper | University of Toledo
Rita Harper is a fourth-year at the University of Toledo studying both English with a concentration in Creative Writing and Women’s and Gender Studies. She is a member of the Jesup Scott Honors College, Free Pizza Improv and Feminist Alliance, the latter of which she is currently the president of. She originates from a small town in Northeast Ohio and still gets confused every time north is followed by west on the radio. She enjoys spending her time at concerts, with her beautiful dog and lazy cat, discussing why all her favorite shows suck while drinking passion tea lemonade and succeeding at copying things off of Pinterest.
Cameron Johnson | Bowling Green State University
Cameron Johnson is a 4th year studying Visual Communications Technology at Bowling Green State University. He specializes in photography and videography and has completed three internships during his college tenure. Throughout his time in school, Cameron has also held leadership positions in Alpha Tau Omega, InterFraternal Council, and founded his own organization, BG Weekend Warriors. He is a proud member of the Sidney A. Ribeau’s Presidents Leadership Academy and has documented over 100 service hours.
Stephanie Martzaklis | Kent State University
Stephanie Martzaklis is a senior at Kent State, pursuing a B.A. in Digital Media Production, with a minor in Creative Writing. During her time at Kent State, she has participated in the creation of several short films, podcasts and television broadcasts as a Producer, Sound Mixer, Screenwriter and Editor. She works with ESPN and Kent State University’s Teleproductions team to film major campus events and sports. She hopes to work as a sound designer and visual editor for studios in Atlanta or Toronto after graduation.
Jason Mecchi | Bowling Green State University
Jason Mecchi is a fourth-year student studying English and Film at Bowling Green State University. Born and raised in Maryland, he has spent the last seven years calling the Toledo area home. With academic interests in critical theory, the humanities, entertainment and popular culture, he hopes to bridge the gap between academia and everyday life through more accessible education about art, language and culture. Jason was previously a college intern for Midstory in the summer of 2019.
Robert Scaramuccia | Yale University
Robert has a B.A. from Yale University, where he studied American history, urban policy, and journalism. In addition to writing and editing features for The New Journal, he helped found narrative podcasts like Undergraduate Admissions and Industrial New Haven. He enjoys video games, podcasts, and, of course, video game podcasts.
Reagan Shull | Bowling Green State University
Reagan Shull is a local Toledoan and Bowling Green State University student currently studying for her B.A. in Film Production with Honors and minors in Studio Art and Marketing. At BGSU, she also serves as a senator on Undergraduate Student Government and as the Vice President of the University Film Organization. Previously, she worked at the Toledo Museum of Art as a part of the Visitor Engagement Services team and interned under local portrait artist, Leslie Adams. Reagan is interested in creative storytelling through film and art, and believes that every story is an important one to tell.
Yashada Wagle | Harvard Graduate School of Design
Yashada Wagle is a Master in Design Studies candidate in _History and Philosophy of Design and Media_ at the Harvard University Graduate School of Design. She is interested in issues of accessibility to urban policy discourse (or the lack thereof); and how the same affects citizens’ claim over ownership of their city. She enjoys indulging in writing and illustrating poetry; and is keen on roping these expressions into her research projects. Yashada holds a Bachelor’s degree in Architecture from the Savitribai Phule Pune University, Pune, India.
Karen Yao | Yale University
Karen Yao is a senior at Yale University from Cleveland, Ohio currently pursuing a B.A. in Psychology and Literature and Comparative Cultures. At Yale, she enjoys spending her time with Yale Students for Christ, for which she helps plan weekly meetings, and with the Yale Ballroom Dance Team, for which she has served as Show Coordinator and Tour Manager. She has studied abroad in Chile, Argentina, and China, and likes reading and eating dark chocolate (preferably simultaneously).
