The Midstory ThinkLab is a six-week summer interdisciplinary high school mentorship program that challenges youth to tell the many hidden “midstories” of Toledo through a creative and critical lens. The ThinkLab encourages the unconventional integration of seemingly disparate academic disciplines through multimedia platforms to reach young people and their peers. In 2019 and 2020, Midstory hosted local high school students from Toledo Public Schools, Sylvania Schools, Toledo School for the Arts, Toledo Technology Academy, Maumee Valley Country Day School, Otsego Schools, and Beachwood Highschool who pursued projects on topics ranging from sports history to architecture, from immigration to the Great Lakes.
